AUTISM INFORMATION AND SUPPORT

Learning that your child has autism can be an overwhelming and difficult experience. It is important to know that you are not alone, and there are organizations out there designed to help you to learn more about the disorder as well as keep you connected to both professionals and other parents raising an autistic child.

The following is a list of organizations dedicated to the awareness and treatment of autism.

• The Autism Society is the nation’s leading grassroots autism organization.

• Founded by the grandparents of an autistic child, Autism Speaks has grown into the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization.

• The Autism Research Institute website is a great place to connect with parents and others concerned with autism.
